1968 factory black trucks

i would love to see pictures of 1968 trucks that were black from the factory. if you have any examples please post spids, interiors, exteriors. i've seen several in the past that had red interiors. what other interior colors came with 500 black?

Re: 1968 factory black trucks

I tried to buy this truck in December. Made a deal on it, gave him a 10% deposit. He backed out the day I was to pick it up. 307, 4spd. He had plans to cut it into a short box. What a shame!

I'll bet you 5 years from now it will still be in the same spot, rotting away. If you really want it keep at him and I'm sure he'll sell it to you one day.

Re: 1968 factory black trucks

Were they available black with a blue interior? Years ago I looked at a black 68 impala with a blue interior and will never forget how good the colors went together.

I was pi$$ed, so I bought 2-67's to ease the pain. Still have his number and Know where he lives. But I would have to do some serious sweet talking to my honey to get it home if he says yes.

The interior is still mostly fawn with the exception of the black bucket seats, other than that its untouched. But I would love it more if it was red!!!!

Then maybe you should run this truck down.
Solid Black with Red CST trim, 396/3speed, buckets and a chromed rear bumper.

sadly I spoke with a guy who bought it (on the forum) and watched it shortly after sell on ebay. but at the time didn't have the cash...

i have a lead on a "reportedly" 68 factory black big block shortbed fleetside cst with original ca black plates. owned by a friend of a friend of an acquaintance though. if half of those things are true i'd be happy. i'm still trying to connect with him.

Re: 1968 factory black trucks

if anyone has more original interior pics (any interior color) that would be appreciated.

also if anyone can point me to literature that would be great. my 68 was factory black but doesn't have the interior color on the spid. i think that means it was fawn but i'd like to verify somehow.

Re: 1968 factory black trucks

My black '67 has a fawn interior and I decided to use that short bed truck for my restomod build just because of how strait it was and came with a squeaky clean title .
