Some 80's to 91 Suburbans have 40 gallon tanks.
They mount between the frame rails, I believe.
Great truck!

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Some more progress on the Ramp Rat yesterday. I got this winch back this summer for it but just haven't had time to install it. I started yesterday and got it temporarily installed. I need to cut a couple of pieces of bar stock for the top & bottom side to reinforce it though. Any suggestions.
I doubt it ever pulls 12,000 lbs but I don't want to have it pull out the bed either.

I also scored a nice Tach dash for it and plan to try and find a speedometer warning head for it also.

New windshield installed by a glass company locally. My daughter said he did it by himself and did it in one try. I was at work he came out to the house and installed it. Insurance paid for it.
If you have ever done one you know the trouble with them. The thing looks good and the trim is good. I was very pleased with him. I called my insurance company and said they needed to add this company to their list of recommended installer's for sure.
Check the corners out the guy did a great job!
He even put the glue on mirror mount for me to. So know I can hook the new mirror up and have compass and temp readings.

I was worried all day about it. But after my daughter sent me the picture of it I was like whoa! This guy knows what he was doing.

Final mounting of the winch today. Got the 3/8" bar drilled and mounted under the bed and winch all tightened down. Ran the cables for it under the truck to the compartment to keep the battery out of the weather. Will run a wire from alternator to battery with a cut/off switch to charge it with and also a volt gauge.

I finally got around to installing the new door seals and seal plates in the ramp truck. I bought 2 diamond plate fatigue mats at Home Depot for the floor covering. I think it adds to the look of it. I added the under dash lights also.

So the seam is off-center on the hump?
I will look for them at Home Despot.

Originally I was just gonna cut it up to make 2 floor mats. After I started though I decided to make the whole floor cover. I put some velcro-strips down the seam to hold it in place. For the ramp truck it works out good. I can pull it out in about 5 minutes If I need to.

I also got the 86 1 ton front end under it now with power disc brakes. Now I just need to get to drive it. I told him to route the brake lines so it was easy for him. He ended up buy both sides upper a arm kits for it.

The Ramp truck got disc brakes done last summer. The front end I bought came with a sway bar so I finally ordered the mounts and cut the rivets out and mounted it today.
This thing should handle like a slot car now!

I added some new tie downs along the sides also.

Oh yea I even gave it a bath today.

I'm looking for all the parts to put E brakes/parking brakes on the ramp truck if anybody has anything.

No, but they should!

Drove the truck 6hrs to the beach running 60-65MPH all the way. I got a total of 176 miles on a tank of gas at 11 MPG. That's running 2500 to 3000 RPM's depending on if I was going down are up hills.

Shops are nice if you can get stuff in and out of them. I currently need to move the door from the side to the front of mine cause the ground where the door is on the side is soft and I don't want to risk leaving deep tire tracks in the yard.
