Re: Original Two Tone Paint Scheme's

I want to paint my truck two tone as well, white roof and white middle band down the side. I'm curious if you've been able to find any specs on where the white goes!
My assembly manual has plenty of trim info but nothing on the proper height of the two tone markings etc. I might have to make friends with a local board member with the two tone scheme so I can get some measurements.

The two-tone measurements are actually very easy if you still have all the trim holes in your truck. The white down the side stops in the middle the of the upper and lower trim.

There is also a band of trim on the back of the cab which separates the white roof from the color on the lower part of the cab.

On the front of the cab, there's an embossed line where the cowl meets the cab which is where the white paint ends.

Thanks df....that's the problem, no trim holes. The full trim package is an option I'm picking out 40 years after the fact! I think I'm going for the b&w just like those bad boys above.

Does the factory assembly manual show the measurements for the trim holes? If you're going to be drilling for new trim, that will be where you're going to need the details. Once you get those done, then you'll know where the white paint ends.

Re: Original Two Tone Paint Scheme's

The assembly manual has excellent diagrams for trim hole spacing and placement horizontally but doesn't indicate measurements as to what horizontal line the trim should follow, especially important for the upper bed trim which slopes. I would have thought the specs would exist somewhere but I haven't come across any.
Anyway I sure love the classic look of the two tone full trim option. Cheers
