Swing away carrier question

I have a swing away tire carrier on my 70 jimmy. Is there suppose to be a stop so that it cannot swing all the way around and hit your bedside? My doesnt and it did....

I think mine is made by Bestop and it has a folded up corner on the hinge part that mounts on the body that keeps the tire from going past 90 degrees open.

Does Bestop or Hickey still make these swing away tire carrier? If not, and I want to keep a stock (small chrome) rear bumper, what have others used?

Nice truck. I'm also in New Jersey, I have a question about the weight of that spare tire on your carrier. Have you noticed any sagging of the carrier, like you have to lift it to latch it?

They do not make them anymore as far as I know
