Re: What truck bed!?!?

I'd say F-1 if it is a short box a couple of the photos in this link show those style lines in the bed. Bump over to the side shots.

Looks pretty solid and might be good trading material.

My ongoing truck projects:
48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Sweet. I'm thinking about putting it up on eBay.

its not an f1. the f2 and f3 beds were taller on purpose than the f1. and had more reinforcing to carry more. it is, like I said, a 48-52 ford f3, which was available in the short wheelbase.

Re: What truck bed!?!?

Looking at this F-1 the location of the holes for fenders and the outline of the fender on his box match on the box and on the truck.

Looking at photos of F-1 F-2 and F-3 trucks I can't see a difference in bed depth. I still don't think Ford made a short box 3/4 or 1 ton though.
