1970 C10 Seat Upholstery - Chevy Duty

Hey guys,

Hoping someone can help. I'm restoring a 1970 C10 I bought last year. The seat upholstery was replaced in 2002. I have the receipt from the previous owner, they bought it from Chevy Duty in Kansas City. The new one I bought from Classic Industries is made by Parts Unlimited, but the aprons are too short to be able to hog tie it to the frame. I'm trying to determine who manufactured the aftermarket one I have, or find out who else to turn to other than PUI? The one I removed is clearly larger. My seat foam is 5 1?2 inches thick at it's thickest which is that same as PUI.

Thanks in advance!
Tim

Everything in the aftermarket is trail and error. Some manufactures did things slightly different than others . Assume no two parts or pieces will be alike, even from the same manufacturer 20 years later.

That would be too easy!!! When I’ve googled Chevy Duty parts in KC it keeps directing me to Classic Industries. I assumed either they bought Chevy Duty or bought their IP address. I’ll give them a try Monday. Thanks!

When you use google maps to check it out the business address;
It's Ryan's Lawn and Trees?

I thought that Chevy Duty out of Kansas went out of business. I believe I still have a few of their old catalogs.

Re: 1970 C10 Seat Upholstery - Chevy Duty

Chevy Duty changed their name to Classic Parts due to persuasion from General Motors.

Classic Industries is a different company.
