1500 vs 2500

I am about to pull the trigger on a 72 Suburban. It is a 2500 model. Can someone tell me what the differences are in the rear suspension? Is it still trailing arm but with stiffer springs?

Re: 1500 vs 2500

It could have trailing arms with heavy coils or it could be leaf springs.

Re: 1500 vs 2500

never seen leafs on a 2 wheel drive burb.
The frame is a tick thicker, added braces in spots, stiffer springs and bigger brakes on front and back with a beffy rear end pretty much sums up a 3/4 ton over a 1/2 ton.
