can anyone post a picture of installed upper fleetside tailgate trim?

the long pieces i have seem to be too long and overlap the piece that goes above the handle.

is it supposed to be that way?

Yes, except the center piece should overlap the outer pieces, not vice versa.

On mine the outer pieces overlapped the center piece. The center piece was tapered for the outer pieces to slide on.
