72 Sub - How long can I go?

I bought my Suburban with what I think is a 2/4 drop.

I use my truck as a driver/cruiser and occasional tow rig. Can I do a 4/6 from somewhere like ECE and still tow about 5klbs with 500lbs tongue weight? Is there another company that makes a better product/kit?

Is it as simple as a spindle/spring/shock swap to do a 4/6?

I searched, but didn't find the information I wanted on which springs would support enough tongue weight. I'm really clueless on this stuff, this is my first classic truck.

Thanks!

If you plan on using it to tow you might want to think about bagging the rear.

If you want to go 6 inch springs or you end up bagging it, you will probably need to c-notch the rear. Which will include a C-notch, adjustable panhard bar, and shock relocators.

So I'm about as low as I can go without adding a lot of complexity? I would rather not c-notch this truck.

you would have to look and see how close you are to the rear end. You could add a block or too.

No problem, I hate it when I ask a question that I'm pretty sure people know, but don't answer. I just happen to know this one
