Members In Jefferson County Missouri

I couldnt help but notice that the members in this area is growing so i thought i would introduce myself. Just today I have seen members from Desoto and House Springs. I have all ready passed c10kid on the street from Festus. So hello to all maybe we could setup a local club I also know of a few others that i have sent here but not sure if they frequent it.

Yeah I see your truck all the time.I work at KFC.And you drive by quite a bit.I notice every 67-72 in town.

I think a club would be cool.

I know a couple buddy's with these old trucks. One is a 72 long bed. It's white with a cowl hood. That is my buddies. He works at autozone.Right now his truck is getting a blower and a th400 with a stall convertor. One of my other buddies has a 71 it two tone silver and blue.It has a 327 with a th400.I am sure you have seen it around.

I have also talked to the old guy with a red 69 long bed that has a tonnea cover. That truck is in really bad shape.

If you start a club I will join!

Hi glad to meet ya. Seems like there are alot of nice trucks on the board from Missouri. Would be great to meet some of you. I have been drive by Festus alot lately heading to S&S down to Fruitland buying parts for my 69 C-10. If you have never been there it is a great place for new parts and you can see what you are getting.

What part of MO are ya'll in? All my family lives in Lamar, Sheldon and Nevada, right off HWY 71. Actually, one part of the family farm sides to 71 in Sheldon. I make my way up there about once every six months and it's about time for me to make another trip.

Eh I knew Jefferson county wasn't that far away! Only 2 counties to the south from here... I'm in Page county, Iowa about 12 or so miles from the border. Hopefully I will be adding to the growing number of 67-72 owners soon with a 72 of my own. It would be nice to see something organized close to home so I could take a "short" trip down and get some inspiration from other members!

Oh and... it can't be THAT bad to live in "misery" (read: Missouri)... I'm only about 12 miles away!! :p

its neat to get a reply from everyone across the usa on this message board its even neater to get replies from folks in your own backyard.

c10kid i have talked with your buddy at the zone and i wave at the guy in the blue and silver 72 every time but if you are interested we could get a club going i have a few friends around that has trucks too

and dennis didnt you mean to say we are 30 miles south of st. louis. and where is this place you are talking about in fruitland i drive that way some times to go the the inlaws

has anyone else noticed that 67-72 has that comradre like the harley riders that they all wave at each other my wife complains about me waving at strangers but i always tell her im waving at the truck

Well hello everyone I am from Desoto. Glad to see you guys on here and so close to home. Well my truck is a work in progress but I think it would be great to meet. Is there anybody going to the car show at Amvets this sunday Aug. 3rd. I think that would be a good place to meet and if your truck is driveable put it in. We can all gather around and talk about makin a club.

67_SS396 that name looks familiar to me I believe I met you when I was in Texas. That was a great truck love to see it again and hear it. My father lives out in Lavon and he will have his '32 ford coupe finished this saturday. So keep an eye out and wave at him for me thanx.

As of right now my father is planning to come up Aug. 8th and staying that weekend. We need to find a nice car show or cruise to goto if you guys know of any. Keep in touch Jim.

Mudder67 did you know about the car show it would be awsome if you could meet us there. Let me know if you are interested I will send you the info. Show these people a real nice truck and my wife loves it too.

I have already promised Stano I would come to Rolla on Saturday for a show. I really need to work on my truck for next weekend (Lincoln Nebraska Show), but I will see. I have been to the Amvets show several times but didn't go last year. I may just run down there (I hate that road from here) to meet you guys if you like. I'd be coming from like Hwy 30 St. Clair way.

Yes that was me! Not a whole lot has changed with the truck since you last saw it, it looks pretty much the same. It sounds much better though. I can't wait to see that '32, what color will it be when he's finished? I will definately keep an eye out for it. Does he have an e-mail? I'd like to invite him to join us at some of our club activities. It's a Ford, but we'll look past that. PM me if he doesn't mind.

Too bad my truck's in pieces right now. . . . .

Well, I'll try to get there--gotta go to the fair Saturday evening for the Demo Derby (or, as my son calls it, the Dabolation Derby).

If you guys start a club i could proably show up at a meeting or two. I'm moving to Rolla to go to college in about 2-1/2 weeks, and Rolla is only about an hour and a half from the St. Louis area if i remember correctly. That isn't too long of a drive for my interstate friendly truck, and i would love to meet some more members.

If you ever have a get together in the St. Louis area (or anywhere in central or southren Missouri for that matter), let me know and i could proably show up

S & S Classic Trucks

Hi Firedog, Its S & S Classic trucks. Here is the phone number and directions: 573-243-7576 a guy named "Smitty" has the place. He is a great person, very honest and very helpful with these trucks. His prices are great too. Take Hwy 55 to exit #105 hes 2 miles North (left turn after getting off highway) Hes on the left, if you pass a lake in front of a big brick house you passed his driveway. He owns the brick house with lake also. His address is 250 Corvette Rose Lane. I have bought alot of stuff from him and have been very happy. This guy goes out of his way to please you. tell him Denny from Cedarhill told you about him. I would call before going down there to make sure he is there.

Hey Jewels, when you planning on moving this way? The Club is hosting the All Truck Nationals (truck show) at the Isle of Capri here in KC on Sept' 6 & 7.

There are a ton of members in and around the KC area, we should have a big cookout or something. CYA Soon.
