47-53 dash in 54-55 AD

Has anyone done, or know if the 47-53 dash can be cut into the 54/55 cab? Wasn't sure how different the two were, and the amount of fab that goes into it. Really just want the front of the dash with the gauges and radio/glove box sections. Want to do the ICON style double din in my 55 first series.

Thanks

This link is what I would want to install into my cab.

I think that is gong to come down to how well you can cut, fit and weld and finish it all of.

Being as the line around below the windshield where the dashes are spot welded in is different you can't just drill the spot welds and spot weld the other one in.

Where the dash meets the door/a-pilar are almost completely opposite. It would be quite a fab job.

I believe Skymangs did the swap the other direction in one of his builds. Spent extensive time on that dash-door transition.
