Hello all,

I came across this site a couple of days ago and have read a lot of the messages - a lot of good info. The pictures of all the rides was what really got me fired up!

I have a '72 Blazer that I got off the family farm back in '95 with 80,000 miles on it (now 105k). It's pretty much your run-of-the-mill Blazer: 350, auto, 4X4, 205, sgl wall top. I have many plans for it and have taken care of all the power train except the motor. The body is another story - 30 years in MN takes care of the rocker boxes and rocker panels. It's very solid from the moulding on up!

I look forward to sharing ideas and stroies - mainly getting inspiration to get out there and work on it!

Hey Welcome Paul72!!!!- Most guys can't post pics until they have either thrown the computer across the room, or asked at least 50 people how to post a pic

Nice blazer!! Also you are in luck we just found out that we can get aftermarket rocker boxes and rockerbox end caps from WES or GMC Paul here on the board. I redid my rockers panels and it wasn't too bad...but I am a welder by trade

Good luck getting your 72 where you want it and have lots of fun!!! We love to see progress pics!!

Your Blazer sounds like mine. Looks good and sounds like you've got a great start on it. I sure is nice that rocker boxes are now available. Looking forward to hearing your progress and plans.

My rocker boxes are perfect (Montana truck), but the rocker panels will need replaced. You're welcome to take a look anytime. PM me your phone number.

Actually I am basically replacing every piece of metal on the Jimmy with parts from other trucks. I am making a Jimmy cab using a pickup cab with the roof chopped off and shortening a LWB bed floor.
The only original sheet metal that will be remaining is the glove box door and the cowl cover.

It is possible

Brian -

That's the stock bumper (repainted). The '72 P/U came with white bumpers as well.

Actually, it's more like a complement! I can't believe what you have done so far with your truck or that you were brave enough to take on that project. Mine's been sitting on the side of the house for over a year with barely any progress. I don't know where you find the time & energy to take on what you have. :p
