66 stolen in tulsa

on or around christmas day a 66 saddle colored, lwb, bbw, fac. ac, c-10 was stolen. i purchased the truck from a forum member here but before i could pick it up it was stolen from his place.

any help or information as to the whereabouts of this truck would be appreciated... and a reward is offered. no questions asked...

so any of you guys in northeast oklahoma please keep your eyes open. it was too nice to crush but you never know.

thanks, clem

Re: 66 stolen in tulsa

I copied pics and will ask around also. I am just 75-80 miles North of Tulsa. It's a shame, and hope you recover the truck.

Re: 66 stolen in tulsa

Post some adds in Craiglist within the surrounding area. Someone had to see it as you don't forget these vehicles. This is how we found one of our trailers that were stolen. Good luck!

Re: 66 stolen in tulsa

I will keep a look out in wichita

probably scrappers, call the metal recycle yards, tweakers run around with trailers and winch up anything with a dirty windshield. shame they dont see the value beyond a couple hundred in steel.

I did not move it, however this area gets a lot of traffic. People whom would not normally look in regions or 60-66 etc look here. If you keep updating it, it will also show in new posts.

I wish you the best in finding it.

Re: 66 stolen in tulsa

I'll keep watching Nebraska and Kansas Craigslist and this area as I get around quite a few people with these 60-66 trucks. I bought a gold/white 66 factory air parts truck very close the same as this stolen one off Craigslist but I brought it back from west of Wichita in the middle of November and I did get the Kansas title with it. Good luck.

thanks... appreciate all the eyes looking out for this truck.

and oem, you're right, the thief probably has no idea what a nice truck he got and it's too bad... we had big plans for it.

I watch this forum, and if I see it will notify LE, but chances of it getting this far away are slim I'd say

i did contact the recyclers... had not seen it. this one was already crushed before i knew it was stolen or is stashed away somewhere to deal with later... it will probably get parted out on e-bay, a lot more money that way.

it's too bad what happened but... there's other trucks to build and no time to be worrying about the loss.

a big thanks to all those who were keeping their eyes peeled. we'll be glad to return the favor...

too true... pepper is still safe and sound.

pretty much done all i can think of to find the stolen truck. never got a vin number from the po and because of that there was never a police report filed. the truck could be in an impound yard and it would never be connected with me. it took 10 days after the theft before i was notified and those 10 days were critical as far as finding the truck.

i'm not going to give up finding it but the chances now are pretty slim.

thanks again to all those who reached out to help, clem
