Front Marker Lights went out..

Ths is one of those electrical things that drive you nuts. Maybe its happened to someone else so I'm reaching here. My front marker lights all of a sudden stopped working. My headlights, front signal lights and rear marker lights work normally. I checked the connector on each side with a test light and there is power to them with test light grounded to the battery. I even tried new bulbs but no change. The wiring is original and hasn't been hacked. Something obviously happened to the ground wire but I have no clue what. Any ideas and suggestions will be much appreciated.

Do get a voltage reading when the ground clip is attached to the hood?
