Old Gold. Recovered Dad's '70 C/20. To do list?

My dad bought a 1970 C/20 in 72 (yr I was born) but sold it in about 94. I just found it (has been sitting outside w/o starting for maybe 5yrs) and I'm bringing it back to life. Turns over and is at the shop right now. Needs some minor body work, maybe a paint job if I am ambitious. I'm outsourcing all this work as I don't have the time/skill/equipment, but once I'm fairly reliable I hope to be able to do the work from there.

I plan on keeping it as original-looking as possible. My goal is to use it the same way my dad did - occasional work truck, trips to home depot, etc. If I ever move to a surf town I hope it looks like "Jim's 1969 Custom/20".

My main concerns are improving the safety profile:
--I'll definitely add 3pt belts (any kit recommendations?).
--I think I've decided against moving the tank based on some posts here. I may replace it just for good measure, as that cab has smelled like gas forever.
--I love the bench seat, but I am thinking about adding on headrests. I do nto want to "never be the same again" after getting rear-ended at 20mph. Any ideas on attaching to the original seat or attaching to the back of the cab? I found one very old post that had a beautiful seat and mentioned Volvo headrests attached to the cab, but I couldn't the photo had been removed.

Link to some photos (ignore the video of my kid.... Sorry having some issue removing him at the moment).

Any other safety precautions?

Finally. That took forever.

Anyone know a good Mechanic in Atlanta?

Still need to work out a few kinds. New Speedo, looking into disc brakes, etc..

Holy thread update Batman! Awesome looking truck. I love the color, wheels/caps, seat, AC, heck; what's not to like on that truck?

Gorgeous! Nice job bringing that "back to the past"! On the outside anyway. Love it!

It looks even better in person ,saw it in North Carolina while cruisin in our Chevelle convertible at a little diner in the middle of nowhere .Had to stop and meet the owner especially since it was a Ga truck.

I dont know of any shops in the Atlanta area but there are a couple up here ,one in Canton and one in Jasper that Im going to use .
