By the way welcome aboard. You will find a lot of useful information and guys here to help you along the way. What are your plans? Are you going to keep the rear end and front sup? I would get a 5 lug with disk brakes on the front at least. Get rid of the flat bed unless you like a flat bed.
I paid 200 for my front disk and rear end all 5 lug. From a bone yard. It helped to know the guy that had the stuff. That truck would make a sweet step side truck. Interesting look to say the least. Tell us your plans. This is my third year working on my truck. A complete frame off.

Re: new member

i have seen a few 1/2 frames in my area. that seems the way to go. the frame on this c30 looks a lot gigger than a 1/2 frame. i think the c30 cab would look neat on a 1/2 ton frame.

Welcome to the board.
If you are leaning towards wanting a C10 you might consider selling that truck and buying a C10 that way you have what you want to start with.
You will be able to find some nice C10's out there in Cali for a reasonable price.

Re: new member

yes i have been thinking that someone may want this old c30 the way it sits. are all 69 cabs the same? i thought the 10,20 and 30 cabs were all the same. if so the cab would fit on a 1/2 frame. i like the running lights on the cab and the body is real nice.

i saw the build with the c50 and that cab is huge. now that was work. i do have a complete 98 z71 xcab shortbed i could do a swap with but that idea is more of a pipe dream different frame, i do want to do the 5.7 swap, no smog required

He is looking for a set of front fenders. He might talk you out of them.
