What’s going on with my motor mount towers? Pics

Hello everyone, I’m in the process of teardown for my 6.5TD swap.

I bought some used 1971 BBC motor mount towers and they look much different than my 1971 Blazer SBC mounts. Did I get the wrong parts or is my Blazer frame swapped? SBC Mount in first pic, BBC Mount in third.

Thanks
James

Yours is 4wd you I'm guessing your BB mounts are for a 2wd. I put a BB in one of my blazers years ago and used the same mounts as the small block.

Thanks for the response, Rippen. I need to have a little higher clearance with the 6.5TD.

Has anyone used the CPP BBC mounts? They look like they have the 4 bolt pattern like my originals.

Those Diy4x cross members are nice looking! I’ll check them out, thanks for the tip.

You can use the 2wd stands but, you'll have to redrill the frame for the bolt pattern and fab up the lower piece so you tie the bottom of the mounts together so you don't bend the top of the frame when you put engine in. This only works with a lift kit, otherwise the oil pan can come in contact with the diff
