Help - need assistance on installing LMC brackets and bumper 1965 C10 stepside

Guys:

Son and I are wrapping up a restore of our 1965 C10 8' stepside bed. I ordered a new chrome bumper and attach brackets from LMC. Today, I took the day off to install (front was a breeze). We have spent the better part of 2 hours trying to figure out how these install. I have searched the web and LMC - no luck.

Can anyone tell me (or email me please) some pictures on how the brackets are supposed to attach to the frame. No matter where we try to mount them (inside the frame, outside of the frame, even the bottom of the frame - nothing will allow the bumper to attach.

We are running blind here as we had a fleetside bed on the truck when we bought it and I have never see a stepside bed and bumper assembly.

Any and all help will be appreciated.

Mark

Thank you very much. Explains a lot. If anyone else has pics or more info, I would be most interested.
