Question about rear view temp/compass mirror from donor Yukon

I'm stripping a yukon I bought for my swap and thought the mirror would be cool to have too. I know there's a temp sensor but what about the compass? Is that built in?

I put one of these in my truck. There was no external sensor for the compass. Just the temp sensor and power wires.

The compass is the cube behind the mirror. The senor is out on the front grille. Hot wire ground and the 2 senor wires is all you need.

It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Late 90's like 98 and 99 Tahoe have just the temp & compass!

Re: Question about rear view temp/compass mirror from donor Yukon

Just installed this mirror from an 02 Silverado, no airbag lights, no map lights. Wiring was simple. 5 wires, pink(red) is 12v+ ign, black is ground, light green is suppose to go to reverse lights so it doesn't dim in reverse, but ground it if you don't want that, then black with white goes to temp sensor and dark green goes to temp sensor.

I forgot about the wire that goes to the reverse lights. Mine had that also.

Thumbs up Re: Question about rear view temp/compass mirror from donor Yukon

Here are the diagrams I have for the mirror.
Depending on what the mirror came out of will be the colors you use.
