CSS sway bars on ebay

hey gang....

i bought a Classic Performance Products 1-1/4" front sway bar on ebay several weeks ago for my 72 suburban 3/4 ton 2wd. it cost $125 plus $24 s/h. much cheaper than hellwig and lmc and bigger too. now the price is under $100 plus the shipping, so you could pick up a bad boy big front sway bar for your rig for even cheaper than me. they are apparently trying to liquidate some inventory.

i went to the source and bought the matching rear sway bar which is as big as the hellwig bar for our trucks but was much cheaper too. both bars come with all the hardware to install even if your 2wd truck didn't have the front sway bar to begin with (has the frame hanger brackets). the bushings are all poly and they use end links. the nice thing with the front bar is you only have to knock out 2 rivets and replace them with supplied bolts to attach the frame brackets for the front bar. if you go to the source, the sway bars are either powder coated or you can get them cad plated for an extra $10. all the brackets and some of the hardware comes cad plated.

Re: CSS sway bars on ebay

hi again.....

i just got my front bar installed on my suburban yesterday. only thing i had to do was loosen the clamps on the tie rods and spin them around so they cleared the end link bolts (only hit on the right side on my truck before i moved them). after it was all done and buttoned up i took it for a ride. it handles atleast as well as my dad's 87 with the stock (1-1/8") front sway bar. still a fair bit of rear body roll as to be expected (this is a suburban) but the handling is much more predictable on the corners and i can't wait to get the rear bar on and see what it can really do!

Re: CSS sway bars on ebay

sweetness. i can't report on the install until i get around to it. took me a few hours to get the front one on. when you are lying on your back you find out real fast how much a 1.25 inch sway bar weighs. but the momentary sweat and pain was worth it......
