Re: Project: SRS BSNS

thanks appreciate it! Backspace is 4.375. I don't think anything touches when aired out but haven't looked too close (I never air it out completely). Backs look alright, the fronts should stick out more though, right now there is too much room IMHO

Got my caps from GAc10boy, thanks! Can't decide on what to do with the rim color. I think white will be too much with the skinny rubber (not a fan of such a short sidewall to begin with). Black... meh. Cream or 'beige' ish maybe? Or paint a 'whitewall' around the edge of the rim and leave the rest black? Time to get some photoshop out!

Re: Project: SRS BSNS

Picked up a radio this weekend from a local, was in his '72. I like the look of the 80's decks or whatever this one is. I plan on soldering in a stereo input and I'll keep an ipod wired to it. I'd like to get some new dash speakers and a powered sub. Thought I would mount a couple of low profile 4" speakers, there are a few favorites in the truck audio section it seems. and then a Kenwood KSC-SW11 powered compact sub under the seat. I know nothing about this world, any specifics I need to look for? ohms what? RMS who? low level pass huh? Its all greek to me!

I really like those caps on your truck. Im going through the exact same debate on my Transits. I started with black wheels, then white, and now silver with photoshops of all possible combos I could think of along the way. I love the wheels but can't pick one color over another. I think the problem is I like the way they all look. Now I'm debating going back to black with a white lip as well... For what it's worth, I really like the black wheels on yours. If you dont like the short sidewall, you could bump up to a 285/40 on the rear like Im running. Looks like you have the room for it and it's a fairly meaty tire on a 22.

Thanks! I do like the black, just not sure about it with the white caps. Good point on the tire, I do have some room left there. Would much rather have some Intro's on there but no way thats ever going to be in the budget!

"Toolbox" , period correct even. 2 studs welded to bottom and pinned underneath of truck box for easy removal. Will put a lock on it to keep prying eyes away

Looked at getting a new intake to spiff things up but costs added up pretty quick. Threw a vortec max cover on for now to hide the ugly.

Snow is melting, time to go 5 lug. I have ECE 2.5" '6 lug' drop spindles and the ECE 6lug front disc kit conversion. What can I re-use here going to 5 lug?

Re: Project: SRS BSNS

Tired of manual bags. Going elevel. Whipped up a mount for vu4 and ECU yesterday. Havenít decided if Iím going to use it yet, for some reason I thought vertically on the underside of front of the box was a good idea. Until I take the box off lol

Didnít like it. Made a new one that bolts to frame rail / under box behind the cab so should be protected from road hazards. Maybe one day Iíll actually get elevel on!

Re: Project: SRS BSNS

PO put a grant wheel on and and horn never worked right (actually it worked too well, all the time). Messed around with it a bit then just bought a new wheel. Was still grounding out. The brass tabs on the canceller cam were hitting the wheel adapter. Bent back and covered with electrical tape. All good now.
