Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!

Got a little crazy with the black rattle cans, and painted up all of the lower stuff! Also got some real nice "B" pillar panels from Wes today, they are sweet! Pic's tommorrow!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!

I know I have asked this question many times before, but here I go again. Swapping in frt and rear 1 ton axles and want to upgrade to a 1 ton brake setup. I am always looking for the simple solution here, and have not found it yet. Any help here, Pic's, threads, etc, guy's? Getting close to setting up the rear disc conversion on my 14 bolt corp, and want to start working on the entire brake setup purchase.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!

I swapped in a Dana 60 in my 69 K20 earlier this year - here is a link to my thread that should give you some good info.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!

Just got my last shipment of disc brake conversion parts for the 14 bolt rear axle. Looks real good, Blackbird Customs. Rotors, calipers, pads, brackets, spacers, short brake hoses, bolts, brake hose clips, and even a couple of custom weld on hose brackets! Took some pic's and will post up later. Big step here for me. Still need u-bolts for the rear swap, and of course shock setup, but getting closer everyday!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!

Going to a Mud Run in Luther Mi. tommorrow, should be fun. I'll take some pic's for ya! I always take my 35mm, but harder to post on the computer. I still love the hard pic's though! Nothing done on the K5, working on sorting out details of the rear disc conversion kit. More later.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!

Crawled under yesterday and removed the frt and rear axle trusses/skid plates. Gonna clean em up good and spray a fresh coat of paint. Then off to the F/S pile.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!

VTblazer use to suggest using them over the Blazer ones as they give you more metal.

Look on the first page of the critter build.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!

Ordered more parts from Wes today. Pic's when they arrive! Don't remember if I mentioned it, but I picked up a sponser, my DAD! He finished his 66 Pontiac project and is selling off all the leftovers. All proceeds are going towards my build, how cool is that!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!

Right on! My DAD is the coolest guy on earth! He tore a 1966 Pontiac Bonneville 4 door apart, did a frame/swap/rebuild/resto that is way nice! He is not a 4x4 guy, but behind me all the way.
