Finally reinstated the daily driver.......

I have posted pics of this project here and there but it is now officially my daily ride again......I have owned this truck for about 13yrs with 10yr/75000miles of daily use....it sat for 3yrs and now its back....truck is bone stock with exception of wheels/tires, intake, slight cam in original motor, and the dual exhaust.....Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I am enjoying driving her around again.......Paul

Sorry for the large images but wanted you to get the full gist of things...

Thanks for all the comments......let me elaborate a little......It was parked for three years because it would no longer pass PA inspection due to rust. I decided at the end of last summer that I would enjoy redoing my 72 rather than buy a newer truck (to replace my 92 full size Blazer).....I started tearing the truck down and getting rid of rust (with the help of my Dad, he is retired and I owe allot of the resto to him)......slowly but surely over the last year we where able to get her done.....the only original sheetmetal is the cab, hood and cowl.....everything else has been replaced......aside from the engine rebuild everything else was done by me or my Dad......I get credit for the paint....Thanks again......Paul...

PS check out my sig for my weekend ride......BB Chevelle........

Andy......thanks on the interior.....the springs out of the seat I got from you worked out great.....I am undecided on winter driving....I really want to drive it in the snow but I may have to put her in the garage once they start putting the salt down on the roads....just hate to destroy my detailing efforts......time will tell.....Paul

Also want to send out a public thanks to 6t727t2 (Harry) for hooking me up with a rear. Three weeks after I starting driving her again a carrier bearing spun in the rear differential and took out the housing with it. Harry came to my rescue with a 72 k10 he was parting out....Thanks

That is one good looking truck. I really like the way you kept it just like it came from the factory. Very cool truck!!!

Where did you get your seat cover?? I have never seen the Custom interior seat cover reproduced?

Once again, Great truck!!!

Joesjunk......I actually found someplace where I could get the factory material in correct color and pattern....nice thing about it is its NOS material so it is nice and thick and durable material....I then had it stitched up for my seat.....Paul

Great looking truck. I have a 68 K20 that looks a lot like that one. Just a little more weathered. benbloom, I haven't verified the gears but at 65 she's pretty wound up.

I now one thing, if this truck was truly a daily driver in PA ten years later it would not be looking like these pictures.
