Re: 48 gmc on a 87 s10 frame

The running board is usually even with the bottom edges of the fenders. I have seen a couple of trucks that guys raised the running boards up closer to the bottom of the cab and trimmed the bottom of the fenders off a like amount to be able to get the truck a bit lower in profile. I think if you were to measure a stock truck you could see where you could take up a couple of inches there.
I'm not into bagging trucks or laying frame (just not my thing) but I do run my truck plenty low.

This truck was at the Run to Roslyn (Roslyn WA) last year and if you look close you can see that the gap between the bottom of the door isn't as wide as the normal space.

This 54 has the running boards raised or appears to

This one has the boards in stock position

Put the photos on your computer in jpg format. Reply to a post and click advanced. Click "manage attachments". A window opens up that has a place to browse your computer for the picture you want to post. You can do up to 5 per post. If they are too big you get a message telling you so. Close the window, preview the post to make sure they look like you want them too. If its good to go then "submit reply".

Re: 48 gmc on a 87 s10 frame

to wide unless its out of a 67'-69' camaro and those usually dont have disc brakes. 70'-81' is too wide.
