New motor is done

Well on Monday I went to dyno and pick up my new motor, all aluminum 615 BBC with 20* heads.

Re: New motor is done

That's going to get your attention. I love watching dyno videos ( as long as it's someone else) I get nervous watching mine.

Re: New motor is done

Thanks guys!

Yes I get dyno flashbacks, my old motor in the middle of a pull at about 5500 rpm a plug wire came off the distributor, dollar signs flashed and almost had a heart attack.

Re: New motor is done

I’m very happy with it, it was built as something that is to be fairly reliable and durable for what it is if you know what I mean, it’s not a max effort on the ragged edge build, but it has some very good parts in it.

It made more power than I was looking for when I started planning a new SR20 build a few years back, and it made more torque than I thought it would so very excited to get it in the truck.

Once my truck I back and I start on it I was going to start a new thread and link past stuff with as many old pics as I have plus add the new stuff.

I need to find a pic host I like, I refuse to pay PB, and tried imgur app and couldn't figure out how to upload a pic to an album and post a image link so deleted it. So might be youtube and just do a slideshow.

Test picture

Re: New motor is done

Stout piece for sure. For pictures I use fastone photo resizer and up load to the site directly. Saves the PB headache.
