I posted early in the thread....but figured I'd throw in a couple of recent shots....
I had these wagon-wheel 16" rims on my '63.....and I always have hated the look of them.
So I spent too much time on figuring out how to fix up a set of hub-caps....to kinda' cover them up.
I think I really like them. So did some other dick-head.
He took a crow bar to them..within the first week, thinkin' he'd steel them and maybe put them on his rig.
Because I had to get creative on mounting them (including drillin', tapping and using a 7/16 center bolt on the rear) he couldn't get 'em off.....just scratched them up a bit.
To put it briefly, He doesn't have them....I do.
They sure would have been easy to spot on any rig.....even from a distance.....with the white paint where the black used to be.

Here's my 63 sb stepper. My Dad's Aunt and her husband bought it new in 63. It lived it's life in the Sand Hills of Nebraska until about 84 when it came to Omaha when his Aunt move to assisted living. It doesn't look like this right now as it is in many parts, but hopefully before I go to assisted living it will hit the road again.

thanks revoh,it has a ways to go yet to be complete but i wont start on it again till fall.i found it in yakima last october and after stripping 4 coats of paint and rust replacement over the winter i just put her together to run for the summer.i need to finish the wife's 64 mg so you can have it by fall then i can get back to this one.

can you put a 62 and on HOOD on a 60 or 61 ?

why the question well i love the looks of the 60-63 DOOR but really like the 63 and on hood if i could put an later hood on 60 or 61... well..... i wouldnt be stucked lookin for justt 62 or 63 and would have more well market to find one

sure you can,there are many pictures in this forum that have the 62-66 hoods on the 60-61 trucks.

You just have to use the latch that goes with the hood. The 60-61 hood has a vertical handle that is accessed above the grille support. The 62-66 hood has a latch with a horizontal release accessible through the rectangular hole on front of the driver side of the hood.
