Thanks. It's hard to believe that's the same truck.

Oops, that's odd! When I got my email subscription notification it linked me to a pic of my dad's old truck corresponding to LostMy65's quote. Now it definitely shows a different truck. Sorry bout that!

I kept the 66 lwb stock height. Still has a lower front rake and like "tenni126" say's No matter what load I put back there all she ever does is sit level!

Here's mine. A slight rake. Any lower in the back and I have clearance issues.

I really, really, really like your truck! Sits great, and I really dig the color combo.

Re: Best "Rake/Stance" for a Hot Rodded 60-66 C10?

This some older pictures of my '64. I've done a lot more suspension work since then, and I don't have any pics of the latest configuration, but will have some as soon as I get it back on it's wheels.

Since these pictures were taken, we have Z'd the front of the chassis up 2" and forward 1" to center the wheels in the wheel openings. The rear is coming down about another 1.5-2.0 inches. I want a hot rod rake, so the rear will still be higher than the front. It's a little too much right now.

I agree with the slightly higher in the rear rake/stance. I think it looks good.

Re: Best "Rake/Stance" for a Hot Rodded 60-66 C10?

They are 18 x 8 Centerline smoothies at all 4 corners,I saw what Delmo was doing with his and followed his lead. I had a sign maker friend cutout the white centers and apply them to the wheels. Same material that they use to wrap vehicles in for advertising. I was hoping to keep a bit of the old factory look. White wheels, chrome rings and centre caps. Photo on right shows what I started, 16" stock steel 6 lug wheels, painted white with stock GMC hub caps. withI am going to have the same sign maker make up some GMC decals to replace the centerline logos.Tires are 275-45 Continental Extreme Contacts. They were clearing the tires out at Tire Rack for $88.00 each, quite a good deal.

I like how my 63 is set up. 2" block and drop spings in the rear, drop springs up front and spindles.
