I got my rear rims back from sandblasting. I’ll try to get them sanded and painted today.

The spacers worked out great and I love the look of it, I just want it a little lower. It has the old school kinda hotrod stance I was looking for. I took a direct front shot today but the lighting isn’t the greatest. You can kinda see how spaced out the front wheels are.

It is actually very easy to steer without power steering with them

She got a “new” front bumper today and I’m using a ‘72 specific “Building a Better Way to See the USA” dealer tag.

Here’s a pic of dealer tag. There was even super groovy song about it! 😂

We are on heavy OT at work, so since I had work on Father’s Day, at least I could ride in style! She made the 80 mile round trip with ease. It’s the longest venture I’ve done in it so far, but I’m confident I could drive it anywhere. It’s just a great running old truck!

Great looking truck! Love the driver look with the steelies and the '72 front plate. I also like the height as is! Not too low but low enough to have a nice stance.

Re: I needed another truck like I need a hole in my head - yet here we are!

Over the winter I had a friend that lost that lost his job and I let him do some metal work for me. I had already done the driver’s rocker, but cut and fixed all the rust in the lower belt line of the truck. It now has both new rockers, cab corners, the bottom of the doors replaced, and new passenger side fender cup. When he had the bed off, we also did a bolt in c-notch to be able to drop it lower.
To cover up all the repairs, we painted the bottom with the same semi gloss white that I used on the rims and bumpers, and used a nice set of used lower moldings.

The truck is much better for all the repairs now, and I’m digging the white rockers against the white bumpers. I like the blue roof for this look, but I need to do a repair above the windshield, so I’ll probably end doing the top white too.
