Floor shifter gaiter
Anyone know or any suggestions what I can use to cover the hole in the carpet where the Lokar shifter comes through other than a Lokar one? Thanks

Re: Floor shifter gaiter
This is for my two transfer case levers, but you get the idea. Made out of same "pleather" as the rest of the interior trim. Base plate is the stock 74 Transfer case. The top will get a leather lace cinch. I made a paper template (two sides and center) to get the right size.

Re: Floor shifter gaiter
Why not just get the factory shift boot cover for a task force truck that has the granny 4 speed installed?
I would think L&M , Or the Truck shop in orange county, California would have them in stock. Check out their on line catalogs.

Re: Floor shifter gaiter
Ebay search link that should give you some ideas of what might work that you like.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...+boot&_sacat=0 Every price from dirt cheap to wow that's spendy. The one Coupeguy2001 suggested comes under the dirt cheap status but doesn't have a ring http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevy-Truck-...5WjiV-&vxp=mtr

Re: Floor shifter gaiter
What look are you going for? Old style as truck era or more modern feel?

Re: Floor shifter gaiter
Do a search on Ebay for Tractor Shifter Boot. That is where I got my knobs, $3 each in tractor section, $15 in auto section for the same knobs. I have found that a lot of stuff like that is less expensive when applied to tractors or other industrial uses.

Re: Floor shifter gaiter
Looking for a more modern feel, I was thinking about making something. Getting some material is easy enough but not sure about the ring & how it would fit in place on or under the carpet
