Anyone know where I could locate a third row seat for a 72 burb, I don't care if its in bad shape or not. Thanks

Re: 3rd row seat

Someone here in Ohio, has a 77 Suburban for sale. If it doesn’t sell, they said they would part it.

A seat from a 77 won't work in a 72

Re: 3rd row seat

It took me a long time to find one. I became a supporting member on this site so I could post in the classified section and that worked. Give it a try...

Thanks for the info, I wasn’t thinking. The 77 would be in the next generation.

The rear K5 seat is the same as the 3rd Row Burb seat, i believe there's one in the for sale forum.

Nope it was a Burb middle seat and it sold.

Re: 3rd row seat

Years ago, I bought a short seat at a local parts place thinking it was a third seat before I realized the brackets on the seat were for a second seat. I didn't realize at the time how hard third seat brackets would be to locate. I guess I could have fabricated something up but instead I bought an inexpensive folding third seat out of a '77. I pulled the seat apart, welded round corners on the seat frame and installed my '72 foam and fabric. Now I have a folding rear seat.

Full disclosure, I haven't got around to making or installing a bar for the seat clasp to engage onto.
