What wheels to save?

I have stacks of steel wheels with the tires still mounted on them. Yesterday I took in my 16x7 8 lugs and had the tires removed. Today I want to take in a bunch more.

Which wheels are worth saving? Only wheels with four nubs for disk clearance?
Or any stock steel wheel? Nothing I would ever ship, but if someone local wanted I could possibly hold for a sale. I'm only talking stock style steel, no rally wheels, no mags, no chrome. I think I have five, six, and eight luggers.

Just don't know if its worth the time when I could just save the steel part for the pile of scrap I'm saving for Livrats metal guy. The tire guy is charging me five bucks a wheel to dismount and dispose of the tire. Well worth the price considering what other tire places want.

Re: What wheels to save?

I have the same problem.i have a pile of steel wheels all sizes and rally wheels I will never use they have tires on them some good some bad. I am thinking of taking a sawzall to the tires and remove them myself. I don't think they are worth enough to ship.

Re: What wheels to save?

There are a lot of us going back to the stock look steel wheels, and shipping is what's keeping the value of the wheels down. I just bought four from a great member here. Shipping from WA to CA was way more money the I paid for the wheels.

Re: What wheels to save?

Over the years here on the board I have been very fortunate to have people ship wheels to me. For awhile there I was really in need of the 15x8 four nub wheels, now Im full up lol.

I know it was a major hassle for them to ship though, so it was really appreciated on my end.
