Question self adjusting breaks on a 64?

rebuilding 12 bolt rear end in my 64 c-10 and breaks is part of the fun. I have a 69 parts rear end and see it has self adjusters, a few parts missing but auto zone seams to have the parts for 10 bucks a side. can I just add this stuff to my 64 breaks ? or would I have to change everything - baking plates and all ? I see auto zone lists a kit I entered 69 c-10 in the search for the parts sounds like a nice up grade . thanks Joel

Re: self adjusting breaks on a 64?

I am interested in the answer to this question.

I have a 1963 with no self adjusters. I thought about just buying the parts and installing them but I was not sure that they would fit.

I think it will work. Not bad for $11 bucks. Let us know if you get them and try it out.

Yes you can upgrade your '64 truck 12 bolt to self adjusting brakes by just installing the hardware.
