Street Scene Kit... any opinions??

im thinking about going with a street scene kit for my '04 silvy. anyone have experience with this supplier?? id also go with a 2/4 drop and id like to either run my exhaust out through the openings in the roll pan or do the vents and run the exhaust out in front of the rear wheel like the f**d lightning kit. any comments/suggestions??

You know what man, I dont necessarily think that kit would look good. In fact, I'm kinda opposed to it. I think those things kinda "rice" up a good lookin truck, now what I think would look good, would be a nice big set of wheels, with some decent rubber. Those Street Scene's Mirrors, and a SS bumper cover and a Grill. Then you can run a Tip out about anywhere and not have to worry about openings anywhere specific... Into caddy door handles and some small subtle things to clean up the truck? I got some ideas I'm doing/done to mine

Re: Street Scene Kit... any opinions??

I'd pass on all that. Crank has some great ideas to make the truck look nice. The drop, new rims/tires, aftermarket grill, trim and badge removal will make a huge difference....

I thought you were going to be a broke college student???

Save your $$ for school and fun. An '04 silverado is a millions times better than the ****box toyota I drove. I'd drive it as is and enjoy it

Re: Street Scene Kit... any opinions??

There are even a few mods you can do to mess with it, without spending any money, such as debadging and maybe shaving your antenna(with the help of about 15 dollars worth of parts) and Escalade handles can be had for about $115 or so. There are a few diff things, and I bet you can probably pick up a cheap set of wheels and tires off some website, I know of a few good ones.

Like here is 2 sets of Intros, one set for 1700, one for 1800, you can find pretty cheap wheels for decent amounts, when ppl trade them in or swap out... http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/...ts-intros.html
Also, throw some good pics up of your truck so we can see it and see what needs to be done!

this thread looks familiar

I recommend their grille inserts, I ran two, one on my GMC and one on my fathers Yukon.

Great pieces, go with the brushed look as the bright chrome pieces tend to rust.

Re: Street Scene Kit... any opinions??

I personally didn't like the street scenes front bumper. My boss has one on the work truck, and the paint cracked badly due to the huge amount of flexing that happens. I've seen several others, and it's pretty common, mainly around the square openings on the front.
