Re: replacement windshield

Not sure if you can find a PPG or LOF windshield any more but they will be only ones that will be same thickness as original however they would really old all new ones will be thinner due to the way glass is made now but the new glass is actually stronger. Try a mom and pop shop that has been in business for some time.

Re: replacement windshield

Mine says:

PPG Tint Safety Laminated
ASI 40 04
DOT 540 M401
4

I don't know what the numbers mean but it has only been in for 2 or 3 years and it cost about $250.

Just found out DOT540 means it was made in Mexico.

Re: replacement windshield

It was probably made by Crenamex they produce a lot of glass for both PPG and LOF check local dealers you should be able to find one might check prices that sounds a little high to me but then labor is cheaper out here.

Just a 'heads up': You may decide to have a mobile installer furnish & install it. If it breaks during installation, he will furnish the replacement on his dime. In my area, total bill was only marginally higher than lowest w/s cost alone--I did check different sources on w/s prices.
HTH,
Sam
