Using a s10 frame???

I was interested in taking a 4x4 early s-10 frame and driveline and putting a body from a 47-53 onto it. I seem to remember that I'd need to unbolt and fab in a new center floor panel for the 4x4, but has anyone had any experience with doing anything like this at all, be it 2wd or 4x4? Have alot of ?s and general info I'm after. Thanks
