Brake Pedal for Auto vs 3OTT

Was wondering if I take my truck from a 3OTT to auto will I need to change out the brake pedal or can I just eliminate my clutch pedal and call it done? Thanks

Pedals are the same no matter which one it is. I went with a billet pedal add on to make it look better.

It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

As Andy said, pedals and bracket are pretty much the same. Just remove the clutch pedal and shaft. There are a few threads on here that show how to do it....

Re: Brake Pedal for Auto vs 3OTT

You certainly *Can* just remove the clutch and call it good, but there *are* two different kinds of brake pedals. One--used with some auto trans applications--is wider than the other, which was used with manual applications.

Also, be aware that there are two pedal hanging mounts, one of which is *MUCH* more difficult to pull the clutch pedal from. I lost part of a finger doing so on my '69: be careful of the heavy spring. If it over-centers, it will pull the pedal arm across the bracket like a shear.

Please post a picture of the different brake pedals for a 67-72 C 10. I would like to see it so I can try and find one. I have never seen one from the factory that wasn't the same as the 3 speed.
