Re: special occasion pics with your truck

What a great idea for a thread. I don’t have any events as noteworthy as a wedding, but have a few shots that are very memorable for us.

Here we stopped for a photo op at Mt. Shasta during our 2,000 mile shakedown run after having the truck apart for a year getting its black lacquer paint job:

Another long remembered day trip produced this photo while we spent several unscheduled hours at an avalanche blasting roadblock:

And back when my wife was an EMT on standby crash duty at the local dragstrip, I got to park in the infield at the finish line and see all the action up close:

Re: special occasion pics with your truck

These pics (Oct. 2010) are of the most significant moment my truck has had thus far. I have a couple other similar wedding pics but don't have them uploaded yet. I had a little time to work on it with my dad before moving to SC, and those are special times as well (no pics though). Hoping to make quite a few more special memories with "Black Betty" throughout the years.

Well, this sure isn't anywhere close to what you guys have posted but... Me and buddy had been busting a$$ trying to get our rides road worthy for months. And in an uncoordinated moment we both ended up showing up at work on a sunny day with our projects. Felt the need for a photo op.

very cool, & nice truck! wish I would've had mine for that occasion...we had an old beat up & rusty 66 short fleet, but it wouldn't have made for good pics...however, I did have a '93 C-1500 custom that I did my pics with back then

Good looking kid and truck... Who's the lucky owner of that truck, father or son?

Thanks Doobie... My son and I are going to start on a new build. It will just be a work truck so it won't be perfect and it might end up being his when he turns 16

Re: special occasion pics with your truck

Most memorable moment for me was the day I bought the truck from my grand father. This is me in the passenger seat, age ~14, and my dad driving, as we are backing out of the garage from the old house in Hillsboro OR. It was an orchard work truck and daily driver for my grandpa. Horrible picture, I know, but what can you say for polaroid in 1984-ish.

The little guy behind the wheel in the last post is putting the finishing touches on the valve covers. How special is that.
