47-53 Grill Bar Identification and locations

Can anyone help me? I bought a 47-53 1/2 ton grill that is missing one bar. I know these bars are not interchangeable and have notches on the back (1-5) there is also an indent on one for a ?? Can anyone post some information on if the bars are notched 1-5 top to bottom (1 = top) or 1-5 bottom to top (1 = bottom). Also which bar has the larger indent on it and are there any other differences between bars? Are all three vertical bars the same or different as well? I am trying to figure out if I bought a hodgepodge of stuff or if it is close to complete.

Thanks!

The indent is for the hand crank. I think the 47 and maybe 48 still had the piece on the balancer to use a hand crank to turn the engine.

Each bar goes in it's specific location and each back piece has it's specific location.

Not the best quality shot but one I took to answer a similar question a couple of years ago.

Re: 47-53 Grill Bar Identification and locations

I put the grill in my truck together out of four or five grills I found in various wrecking yards in Central Texas in 1973. One grill had great back pieces and uprights and each bar in the grill came from a different truck that had one or two real nice bars and a few smashed ones. It was then that I learned the hard way that each bar fits a specific spot on the
