Wiring 1966 C10 6cyl

Hi All,

I am having an issue with wiring. Some background. I have a 1966 C10 that HAD a 292 my brother removed 20yrs ago or more. A lot of the wires were just cut. I have recently got a 230-250 from a what I believe was a 1961, never saw it in the truck.

So, I can't match up what I am seeing in the wiring diagrams (here) to what I see in the engine bay. Please see attached image of the starter side of the motor. The coil to starter is a red wire, to far side post. Then I have a bundle from the firewall that are Green and Dark Green (I think they go to thermal sender), then a yellow and grey or brown. Then that loon splits later to a Purple, Yellow and Blue. Purple I believe goes to far side of starter as well, but what about the others? Any ideas?

Also, the alternator/generator had most of the wires, but I don't know what should go to the post on bottom right, old cut off wire is still there.

At this point, I really would just like to try and start the motor, not sure if the purple to starter with the coil wire are enough with the others I have.

Thanks for any advice.
