Re: FS Delco Am/Fm Radio

He is a f*cker. No radio, no contact in two weeks. Paid a month ago. PayPal wants me to “work it out.” with the seller. I launched a case but he has until July 9th to respond before I can try to request a refund. Buyer beware from him

Re: FS Delco Am/Fm Radio

Sorry you got the wrong end of a bad deal. Sounds like intentional thievery on his end, and few things in life are more despicable than a thief.

Stay persistent and I hope you get your money back. Maybe PP will see it your way. Good luck.

I have never had e-mail notifications turned on for incoming PMs and have never missed one. As soon as I come on tthe site the first thing I see is a pop-up telling me I have a PM. If I click the pop-up away and ignore it, every time I come back to the main page the pop-up is there. The only way to get the pop-up to stop is go ahead and read the PM or scroll up and click on the upper left where it lists what forum I'm on. Can't miss a PM... no way

Re: FS Delco Am/Fm Radio

not taking sides or trying to defend any deadbeats, but my point about pm / email notifications;

for those members NOT continuously logged in, or logging in on regular basis, email notifications can be helpful to alert them to log in to read their pm..

this of course depends on the member wanting to be reached and using an email address they monitor frequently..

I use this feature on other forums I don't log into frequently so I can remain reachable by other members..

still inexcusable either way to ignore communication while advertising goods for sale and receiving money..

this is another fine justification for trader ratings activated on thus forum.. especially since it's a fee based marketplace..

and just from my short time here, I think this particular buyer more than deserves admin intervention to attempt to reach the seller and take appropriate actions within the forum environment at least..

I wish you luck with a timely refund or even better if the op manages to deliver..

Wow, this isn’t cool at all! Hope something works out for you. Nothing worse than slow or no communication on these transactions. I understand situations arise at times but it only takes a few minutes to send a PM, email or refund if needed.

Just wondering, at what point in time do bad sellers or buyers get banned?

Re: FS Delco Am/Fm Radio: Bad deal with Silver68, beware!

Hopefully the buyer didn't use PayPal friends and family. I learned the hard way. Not knowing any better, I purchased a set of doors from "Bestchevyfan" on here and he insisted I use PayPal friends and family and now I know why. He advertised the doors as 99% rust free, deliberately took the pictures so as none of the rust was showing and when I got the doors they were in horrible shape, one door the bottom was completely rusted thru and had numerous other rust issues, also each door was full of bird crap and bird nests. Now, this guy "Bestchevyfan" won't return my money or pay for return shipping. Even on the phone he said these doors were in near perfect condition. Beware, there are some crooks on here, I reported him and by forum rules, anyone who uses PP friends and family is suppose to be removed.

Holy crap! What a bad deal here. When does his IP get banned from the site? We do not need derelicts posting for sale ads.

Just keep this thread up top for all to see!

Re: FS Delco Am/Fm Radio: Bad deal with Silver68, beware!

So I’ve heard nothing from seller or PayPal. I have an active investigation with them. I did not send friends and family. According to PayPal rules, if he doesn’t have proof he sent it by July 9th, I get refund. I will believe it when I see it. Thanks

Re: FS Delco Am/Fm Radio: Bad deal with Silver68, beware!

Hey Mrtoni, I'm sure you'll get your money back, it's just the drawn out process with PayPal, at least you didn't use PayPal friends and family like I did by ignorance. This guy; "Bestchevyfan" on here took advantage of my ignorance of using PayPal. The truly sad part is; He even told me on the phone that these doors were in near perfect condition. What's even sadder: when I confronted him about how dissatisfied I was he deceived me, he said he never said these doors were in near perfect shape and that if I would have picked them up myself instead of having them shipped I would have seen the actual condition, so it's my fault he says. Beware there are some real scammers on here and another sad thing is; he's still on the forum.

Re: FS Delco Am/Fm Radio: Bad deal with Silver68, beware!

Paypal refunded my $300. They would not have had I sent it friends and family. This dude was a jerk and refused to reply to even paypal. If there is a dispute thru them the seller must provide proof of shipment or buyer gets a refund. Thanks everyone

Good, glad to hear you got your money back, this forum needs to ban the scammers. Beware, don't deal with "Bestchevyfan" from Alabama, he's another scammer.

Glad you got your refund. Admins possibly consider banning silver68. This is not the first time he has hosed someone.

I had a deal go sour with this guy too.
At the time I ripped my biceps muscle off the bone on the elbow end and he used the foot excuse back then too. I figured the guy was having more problems than me and promptly forgot about it until I read this thread.
That was two years ago and I honestly can't remember if the radio ever arrived but I need another radio like I need another hole in my head. Ymmv.
