Re: Armored Trucks

I think Tim is rite on those armored trucks. They look just like my buddy's old bread/milk truck. Theres Been a few threads on that one.
I would put a link on it but don't know how too on a phone.

Okay. You got me. Actually when I was scrolling over your posted pic, "BatmanArmoredCOE'' came up, but I figured that was cheating. "Batman" was shot in color, so the B&W still-shot threw me off. So it WAS a '60s show, but one that had a retro look. Could be that converted bread truck had sat on a studio lot since working ''Highway Patrol'' in the '50s and numerous Film Noir flicks previously.
I wonder if that vehicle survives today, or if it met a sorry end going off a canyon road cliff and blowing up in some Seventies' action TV series?

Re: Armored Trucks

Was Batman really in color??? We didn't have a color TV till the '70s. Not sure what was up with the B&W, unless he was going back in time and they did that for an effect. Did he ever go back in time? The whole thing looks old timey for the '60s. I thought that dummy was Buster Keeton before I saw the other picture with Batman

Maybe those bread trucks (you know bread...money?) were used in a '60s hippy movie painted with flowers, then a Gigantor movie as a SPAAV (Space Patrol Alien Attack Vehicle) and got squashed when they were tickling his belly with rockets

I was thinking "Eaten by Giant [radioactive] Ants" in some Roger Corman-esque no-budget straight to Drive-In-release. Who knows?
Yes "Batman" was filmed in full color, according to IMDb, even though most folks didn't have color TVs yet. 'Supers' [super-imposed graffic effects] like <WHAM> and <POW> were often in bright colors like yellow or flourescent Orange.
Production stills for publicity, were usually released in monochrome, since most newspapers in that period had no color printing.

Re: Armored Trucks

I think I saw it at a friend's house before. Back then, color TV meant pink , green, and yellow instead of 30 shades of grey. I didn't feel I was missing anything

I just found this one. You probably already saw it

OMG! You mention giant ants and now look what you've done!
