1990 k5 8.5 with g80 posi convert to 5 lug.
I'm looking to replace the 2.70 rear end in my 82 gmc 2wd. I found a complete RE out of a 1990 k5 blazer. 3.40 with Eaton posi. Just what I'm looking for except one is 6 lug mine is 5. The k5 RE is 30 spline my axles 28. What 5 lug axles swap in. I suspect the 89-91 2wd suburban axles would. Would the 88 c10 and up 5 lug 8.5 axle swap in. That would surprise me.

I thought the 28 spline axles weren't used until the '88+ trucks. You will need axles from a '79-'87 C10 8.5" 10 bolt ('87-'91 in the Suburbans). The '88+ trucks have a wider differential.

1/2 ton suburuban 2wd 88-91 should be 30 spline 5 bolt. Early 88's may be either - check carefully.
Moser will make some for you reasonable too.
