Best rattle can primer.
Ok, I already know what most of you will say-Don't do it. That being said, between the child support and other expenses I am forced to do what I can-with a can. I cannot afford sand blasting or a cab off paint job but I can't leave it ugly now can I.
So, now that the inside of the cab is almost completely stripped I need to find a good rattle can primer. I do have a 1 quart Binks cup gun but they don't do well spraying roofs. Any lo-buck ideas? She aint no show truck but I want something to be proud of.

Re: Best rattle can primer.
I like Dupli-Color High Build Primer....I have been hitting bare metal with some Self Etching before I put it on though...Im not a pro in the least but thats what i do and the High Build primer allows you to sand out scratches and stuff fairly easily

Re: Best rattle can primer.
What kind of self-etching primer and have you had good results?

Re: Best rattle can primer.
I have been using Eastwood from offline but that just because it was black. Dupli-color has a red self etching primer and I have had a lot of luck with the High Build Primer on top of it....
Ive used it on a hood and fender on my build thread so far which are currently ready for paint

Re: Best rattle can primer.
Sherwin-Williams makes an excellent etch primer in rattle can. GBP part #988. I've used it for years. You can find it at any auto body supply store.
