AIM/chassis tech spindles

I am looking for drop spindles for my s10/47 project. Specifically the 92 through 96 Impala spindles. The belltech spindles are about 410 bucks no matter where you look. The chassis Tech ones are about 250. Now I know if you Google it there's lots of threads where guys say they are junk and had problems with them. Almost all of the threads complaining about them are from 10 years or more ago. A lot of threats they just say their junk but I haven't heard any specifics as to what exactly is junk on them. I can't help but think if they had problems with them 10 years ago that they would have it fixed by now. Any recent input on them? Thanks

Nick

they are still junk. you get what you pay for. I don't see why ppl want to cheap out on parts.

Re: AIM/chassis tech spindles

I don't WANT to cheap out on parts. However, I am also on a budget and don't want to pay extra if I don't have to. Can you give me any actual specifics on what's different and what makes them junk?

Double check Summit Racing, I think the Belltech are about $230 or so for the pair unless it's something different than what's listed.
Btw I just checked out your build, nice project.

I have checked there a couple times and the only ones I saw listed were the belltech.

I'm not against them but $150 difference is a fair amount.

Thanks for the kind words. The build is going slow but it's getting there.

Biggest issue is if & when there is a problem, the complaints fall on deaf ears. When searched there are many (complaints) attached to the company's various names (AIM/Chassis Tech/AirBagIt).

I've used their spindles before w/o issue (S10 version). That being said, I would only use them as a last resort & cross my fingers as far as expectations go.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
