Tire size?

Does anyone have info on the size of wheels and tires on this truck?

I’m trying to stay with my 15” rally’s and been racking my brain on what size tires to go with. I don’t care for the tires I have that came with the truck.

Please help!

rears looks like 275/60x15

fronts look a little smaller, maybe 255/60 or 245/60

Wheel Vintiques 62 Series O.E. Style Wheels: 1-800-959-2100
Front: Part# 5805044 15x8" needs to be custom ordered with a 4" backspace.
Rear: Part# 5005042 15x10" needs to be ordered with a 5" backspace.

BFG 245/60/15 for the fronts and 295/50/15 for the rears.
That's a squarebody syndicate build. See this link for more information on his formula. Includes the drop specifications as well:

Re: Tire size?

That's a nice truck you have.

Are you keeping the ladder rack?

To get that look you will need to lower your truck a bit.

255 60 15 fronts with 275 60 15 rear looks right and works good for our roads.
Good luck.

Re: Tire size?

By the way, what size rallies are you using? They look a little wide up front.

Re: Tire size?

Thanks! Ladder rack is coming off as per wife’s orders. She said it makes it look like an old mans truck. I AM old, though.

I think the fronts are 15x8? I haven’t pulled any of the wheels yet to confirm sizes.

Yes! I’m definitely lowering her! Gotta get closer to my wagon’s height.

Took care of it for you. Cell phone picts can be a pain in the butt to figure out when viewing somewhere other than the phone.

Re: Tire size?

I ordered the below part number from from Wheel Vintiques via Summit. What arrived was four wheels that were reversed, and wouldn't fit on what I had (Disc brake conversion on the back and the normal SBS formula up front). I returned via Summit and called Wheel Vintiques, they said they couldn't move their Part# 5805044 from the 4.25" BS to a 4" BS unless the wheel was reversed???? I even email Joe Yezzi and he said that that wasn't true; still couldn't find anyone at WV that would do a normal 4" BS without reversing the wheel........I just ordered the normal Part# 5805044 with 4.25" BS and will use a spacer! I think Joe has more pull than I!! Thanks Mike

Re: Tire size?

Dad's79GMC, have you thought about emailing them a link to this thread? When you think about how many of our trucks were produced and that somebody like Joe Yezzi has published a recipe that includes their wheels, I'll bet there's somebody at wheel vintiques that wouldn't want to alienate this market if they knew. It just may not be the guy that you get when you call in.
