New or Used hood hinges

Ok so I need new hood hinges. Im looking at either new hinges and spring or used ones. My question is should I go with good used ones if i find them or should I go with all new? If go with the used ones they might have the springs still on them, so thats a plus. If I go with the new ones I would have to install the new springs which Im really concerned about. I have no clue how. This isn't about price just quality and if I am capable of installing the springs myself.

Thoughts ???

Repro's aren't known for being good (that said, after a year I haven't had any problems with mine from LMC), but you'd be much better off finding completely unused NOS ones. You'll have to pay the price, though.

Talking Re: New or Used hood hinges

I bought used hinges with all new hardware installed including springs. Not one regret since installing them.
I even spent the extra money on powder coated ones.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
