Pics of my '69 Burb

Well I got this thing a few weeks back and now I'm here to show you guys and gals a few pics of the beast. Not too sure what I'm going to do with it yet. Short story; About 6 months ago i traded a Holley 750 dominator carb for '65 chevy II nova wagon, the wagon was in pretty decent shape very straight body hardly any rust issues at all! Now the bad; the wagon had no papers at all! I guess the wagon had came from field and was picked up by a tow truck and towed to a wrecking yard. A local rich dairy farmer kid got the wagon for parts for his '63 nova SS drag car and then traded me for the carb. I had no use for the carb. So we traded. I tried to sell the wagon and no luck. Through conversations on the phone with my younger bro. I told him that it would be nice to trade the wagon for a '67-'72 burb. But I wasn't really too serious, however it seems that my lil bro was and soon struck a deal with a gentleman from Oakland Cali and so we went and I finally became the owner of a '69 C-10 burban, complete with a partial roof rack that I kinda like Here are some pics of the thing.

More pics of the wagon. I was really wish I coulda kept the wagon, but it was a project for the more advanced hobbyist. It was a '65 and also my favorite year alot of one year parts for that particular model year. And also with my luck all those parts where missing All well some day I'll get one thats in a little bit better shape. Hope I made a good deal? Whatcha think?

The suburban looks good! I wish I could trade some of my old carbs for something like that!

Re: Pics of my '69 Burb

nice rig.....

you need to get rid of that latch on the tailgate but otherwise you have a good project. atleast it has larger mirrors than those dinky factory "sport" mirrors on my 72 that you can't see anything in. it looks to have a good cali body with little rust and it even has a hitch.....all set to go cruising with. i would totally restore it with a few little tweaks (disc brakes, etc) to make it a good family hauler/tow vehicle....then you can take the gang AND one of your nice sport trucks to the show and save gas. it would certainly look awesome going down the road!!!

Re: Pics of my '69 Burb

Thanks everyone for the compliments!! I do have a few questions for y'all. The burb has power drum brakes, is it possible to utilize that same booster if I add disc brakes? And also I spotted a '69 impala wagon at a private junkyard that has the roof rack and i was wondering if it would work on the burban's roof? Its very similar if not identical to the one I have.

nice score, and please don't tell me you used that little tacoma to pull the burb.

a power brake booster is a power brake booster, you should be able to use it with a disk brake conversion.

Re: Pics of my '69 Burb

Thanks Sublvr72 for the info, and as for the little Tacoma pulling the burb. Well we didn't use it that time to haul the burb from Oakland we used our friends 09 2500 silverado. But we did use it to haul it across town the other day temporarily Here's a pic
