Here you go, I have bought and sold literally thousands of items on ebay over the years, great place to find things!

Re: 1954 Glove Box Door??

I actually have one, only issue its been chrome plated and its in Spain. So shipping may be expensive.

When I brought my truck it looked like there was not one on it, so I searched and brought one. When I eventually got my truck there was on on it. The po had take it off in the photos but put it back on when sent it to me...

Might post up on stovebolt.com, sure you'll find one quick. Also check CL. There is a guy up in Athol ID that has listing in Idaho and Washington and I'm betting he has what you need. He's always had the hard to come by parts I've needed for my hydramatic suburban. Good guy but may require usps money order as payment and only does phone calls.

I'm confused, you have one but it's chromed and you don't want it chromed? Just prep it and prime and paint it.

Painting chrome doesn't last in the long run. Chrome is pretty hard stuff and is tough for primer/paint to get a bite into it.

Re: 1954 Glove Box Door??

If you prep it right, and apply epoxy primer it will last. Bead blast it, epoxy primer, it's going to last. Now a front bumper, yeah, with that kind of abuse it's pretty tough. But a glove box door ain't no thing.

Re: 1954 Glove Box Door??

Well the one I have with the truck was Chomed but not on the photos when I brought the truck, so I sourced another.

The replacement is what's on the truck now. So I have a spare that's chromed that I can sell if needed. I know some people have issues with chromed stuff from painting etc hence I mentioned that

Count your lucky stars that it's not a 54 GMC that's missing the glove box door. I hunted long and hard for one for mine before finally finding one.
