axel help?

i got this truck awile ago and was wondering what was in the rear so i looked at the tag 4.10 gears when i cleaned it up it has 60 in to or three spots around the axel dana 60? no sure how to tell ifs a dana also its 10 bolt non posi. the 4.10's are acceleration gears right tryin to figure out y low gears are in a camper special? sorry for all the questions -kyle

the low gears are in a camper special b/c they are a kind of dual purpose deal. the truck would never have enough power to be able to get going if u had say 2.73's. it takes less effort to start with a lower gear. but they are also great for acceleration for the same reasons
