Re: 4X4 Action Pix

wharton state forrest in south jersey. alot of sand, and a lot of holes that just drop off. I found one that just drops off. it swallowed the front left tire whole, then it was like hittin a wall when i tried to winch er out. since my wife hgas a liftred ranger...that was of no help. had to call someone out, when he yanked me out, i heard a loud bang and thought the worste. it was just a tire... not that, thats not bad, but its the cheaper then what i was thinkin.. the price of havin fun...

I was on the fence about keepin the burban, but after seein all the ones in here, and the great ideas i got from the pics...im havin serious second thoughts!!

thank you all for postin!!

Re: 4X4 Action Pix

Looks like the truck held up great Burt!!! as always.
Makes me wish I could finish mine sooner, so I can get this wheeling itch I have, scratched hahah.

And there can never be "too much throttle" haha

Re: 4X4 Action Pix

Here are the best i have for now. Took ole buddy off road for the first time with new motor and first time in tx. Kind of hard to find any good place to go around me. We were going to go to gilmer but bro wanted to try out his new fishing pole. So we went fishing/wheeling. When i lived in colorado i went alot. Miss the the rocky mountins.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix

Since I haven't posted one in a while, here's a pic from this weekend. It's hard to get any real action shots since nobody else will get out of the warm truck and out into the rain & get muddy.
(And yes now that I've posted this I see I need a headlight)

Re: 4X4 Action Pix

Here's a couple from the last time we went out.

This is a hill the jeep boys couldn't climb because they didn't have enough wheelbase.

Then found this in the bottom of what looked to be a dry creek bed.

After some serious winching.

Looks like a set of the first wheels ever sold. When the wheel was still a crazy fad....

Re: 4X4 Action Pix

I know its not a chevy, but I did just sell this rig to build my 72 blazer into a crawler. The toyota would go over anything. Now time to do it in a full size.
This one is winch hill 1 at Fordyce. No winch required on my rigs.

The rest are at the Rubicon
